Getting to the ship
Horndean has no railway station; Rowlands Castle is the nearest. For a cruise, one car from the door with room for the cases is simpler than a lift to the station and changes on the way.
At the terminal
The port operator, ABP, says private taxis can drop off directly outside each of the five cruise terminals and that each has a taxi rank. The terminals sit in two dock areas with different gates, so give the driver the terminal named on your documents, and check it again shortly before you travel in case it changes.

Book the return trip with the outward one, and agree how you will make contact on the day the ship docks.
