Three-day Eco Arts Fest brings music, crafts and electric cars to Havant
Havant town centre will host three days of music, crafts, talks and electric-vehicle displays from 18 to 20 September, with most daytime activities free.
Havant town centre is due to host three days of music, creative workshops and community-energy activities from Friday 18 to Sunday 20 September.
Eco Arts Fest is being presented by Havant Community Energy, a local Community Benefit Society based on West Street. Most of the programme is free, with activities spread across St Faith's Church, The Spring Arts Centre, the Meridian Centre and West Street.
For Waterlooville residents, it is a nearby weekend option with several drop-in activities rather than a single all-day commitment. The organiser's published programme covers family crafts, live performances, talks, a film workshop and a Sunday electric-vehicle display.
What is happening each day
Friday's programme begins at The Spring Arts Centre with a film screening and an Echoes of the Earth workshop from 1pm to 3pm. A mystery pop-up and light show is listed for 7.30pm outside the west door of St Faith's Church.
Saturday is the busiest day. Stalls and refreshments are scheduled at St Faith's from 10am to 4pm, alongside free talks and performances. The published line-up includes The DiElle Trio, the Mary Jane Band and the Portsmouth Climate Choir. Children's eco craft is listed at the Meridian Centre from noon to 2pm.
The daytime programme is free. A separate ticketed Festival Night at St Faith's starts at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm. The organiser lists Simon Cattermole, The Langstone Big Band, Amy Baker and stand-up from Maxine Cox. The booking panel showed a price of £10.84 including the booking fee when checked on 11 September; this should be rechecked before publication because the programme summary elsewhere on the page rounds the evening price to £10.
Sunday starts with a 9.30am harvest service at St Faith's. From 10.30am, the free Eco-Drive display is planned for West Street Precinct. The organiser says local dealerships will bring electric vehicles and demonstrate vehicle-to-load battery technology. Batala Portsmouth is listed from noon, while a further Echoes of the Earth creative workshop runs from noon to 2pm.

The programme uses several town-centre venues, so visitors should check the organiser's live timetable for the location of the activity they want. Visitors should also confirm whether their chosen sessions need advance booking, along with accessibility arrangements at each venue and whether the outdoor programme changes in poor weather.
Havant Friends of the Earth's September newsletter independently confirms that Havant Community Energy is organising the festival on 18, 19 and 20 September. Petersfield Climate Action Network, which says it will attend on Saturday, also lists the three-day programme and directs visitors to the organiser for full details.
