Whether you want a 24-hour gym, a pool, a CrossFit box or a jiu-jitsu mat, Waterlooville has more options than most people realise. We found over 20 gyms, clubs and fitness classes across Waterlooville, Cowplain, Purbrook, Clanfield and Denmead.
We pulled each one’s live Google rating and review count, read what members mention most, and noted opening hours, including who is open 24 hours and who opens at 5am. Every number is correct at the time of writing (25 September 2026).
How we ranked them: gyms are different from restaurants, because a jiu-jitsu club and a leisure centre aren’t competing for the same person. So we’ve grouped them by what you’re looking for: big gyms, CrossFit, martial arts and outdoor classes. Within each group, the highest Google rating comes first, with ties broken by review count. Smaller clubs, personal trainers and children’s gymnastics are listed after the main picks.

How we ranked them (in full)
1. Which places: every gym, leisure centre, fitness club, martial arts club and outdoor class on Google Maps with a Waterlooville-area postcode (PO7 and PO8).
2. Order: grouped by type, then ranked by Google star rating, with ties broken by review count. Places with very few reviews are listed after the main picks.
3. “Mentioned in X reviews”: these counts come from the review topics Google shows on each listing. We haven’t picked or edited them.
4. Nobody paid to be on this list, and nobody can pay to move up it. We don’t quote membership prices because they change often, so check with each gym.
